WWYD? What Would Yahshua Do?

What Would Yahshua Do?

These four little words make up the most profound question we should ask ourselves daily. When we encounter questions or decisions of various kinds, we should ask ourselves, “What would Yahshua do?”

Every day we must make decisions of Truth vs. error. We must decide if something is good Doctrine, or bad. In our daily walk and practices, indeed in every question we encounter, we should be asking ourselves the question, “What would Yahshua do?”

Notice what we are told in Scripture:

“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.” (1John 2:6)

If we are to become perfected in love, as the Scripture tells us, we must walk as HE walked, in every way. If we are to walk even as He walked, we must ask ourselves this question, in every matter, “What would Yahshua do?”

If we are to walk as He walked, then we should desire to practice the same things HE did, speak the same words, and literally BE the same, in all areas of our life. Why is this true? The following passages reveal the answer:

“…To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory…” (Colossians 1:27)

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11)

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” (2Corinthians 13:5)

“My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you…” (Galatians 4:19)

“Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.” (Philippians 1:11)

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus…” (Philippians 2:5)

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1John 4:4)

The above passages reveal that Messiah actually is living within every Born-Again Believer, and He desires to express the fullness of His Life in us, as a Testimony. Even the apostle Paul spoke in a similar way, exhorting us to imitate him and the other disciples, in our manner of life:

“Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.” (Philippians 3:17)

“For I delight in the law of God after the inward man…” (Romans 7:22)

Paul’s whole focus in his ministry was to reveal the many facets of “Messiah-in-you,” with its goal of perfecting of love. There is, however, a disease that will spoil the fruit that Messiah-in-you desires to produce. That is the disease of being “carnal.” Notice what Paul said about avoiding this carnality disease:

“Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” (Romans 8:7)

Paul reveals that the only way we can allow the fullness of Messiah-in-us to live His life, and to produce fruit in our lives, is for us to allow Him to write the law (Torah) on our heart, and then for us to walk in it, just as He did.

Most think Yahshua was a nice Gentile boy, who went to Sunday-School faithfully every week, and that He practiced pagan Feasts and Festivals, and that He avoided keeping Sabbath and Passover, and the other Feasts of Yahweh.

Then why do we, while claiming Yahshua lives-in-us, do these things?

If we are to mature in love, we must stop preventing Messiah-in-us from walking in us, the same way He walked 2,000 years ago, while He was in His own body. We must change OUR thinking to HIS thinking. We must avoid being carnal. We must become like Paul and the other disciples, and yes, even like Messiah Himself.

For those who hope to overcome, and to know Him, we must ask the question, concerning all things — “What Would Yahshua Do?”

Thank you Deborah, for the visit, and for your comment. I see you have put some thought into your comment.

Perhaps you may have a good grasp on what Yahshua would do, but there are many of the precious little ones, who hunger and thirst to know Yahweh, but who do not yet have that good grasp. This word is for them.

Likewise, most of the little ones today (“little children” in NT vernacular) read the Scriptures, but continue to read it with a “spin” given to them by the “Doctrines of Men.” This leavening of the Doctrines of Men has poisoned many today, as you are aware.

Likewise, many today do not understand what the apostle Paul wrote concerning the works that “Messiah-in-you” desires to do, so when they encounter such teaching it seems strange and foreign to them. Much of Paul’s writings have been wrested, according to Peter, and have been changed into “Doctrines of Men.”

Many today lack Scriptural understanding, because of well-meaning pastors and other leaders who use non-Biblical words and terms, such as “legalism,” to frighten off the little ones, causing them to not fulfill their destiny. We must remember that Israel too, was redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb, but fell in the Wilderness due to disobedience to the Law– and that WE are warned to heed their example.

The use of non-Biblical words to describe Biblical concepts is perhaps one of the greatest deceptions of the Doctrines of Men. It is through re-defining of words such as “Sin” that many have abandoned the original Faith, for which all are to contend– to “fight.” Sin as defined by the Bible is “Transgression of the Law.”

Perhaps one area in which we can all grow, is to realize that faith in the Blood is good for what the Blood does. If we are to mature, we must know the difference between what the precious Blood of Yahshua does, and what it does not do. The Blood of Yahshua is not intended to be a cloak for our ignorance and disobedience. The Blood will not do for us what Yahweh intends for our obedience to do.

We must read the Scriptures for ourselves, to find these things out, so that we might break free of these paradigms of men– the webs that satan has spun to trap men! The Book of Hebrews is a good place to begin, and a review of the New Covenant promises in Jeremiah 31. I recommend also “The New Covenant According to the Scriptures.” See this at:

Sister, I appreciate your words of exhortation.

    In His Love,

    Brother Bill

  4. Deborah says:

Yahshua was the Word made life. He was the manifestation of the Word, the evidence of the Living Word of God. Why is it so hard for us to figure out what Yahshua would do?

Read the Word of God and study the Scriptures. Hear it’s judgments against our own lives and sins. Be cleansed through repenance and faith in the blood of Christ. Then you will KNOW what He would do, for you will begin to see Him as He is, and not as you want Him to be.

Walk in the wisdom of the Words and counsel of God. Obey the Teachings and lessons of God, not the letter of the Legalism.

Be willing to be conformed to the likeness of Christ, through faith in the power of the blood of Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit, and you will know what it is that He will do, for you will be like Him.

Be willing to learn from your mistakes, for reproofs of instruction are the way of life. You will not find out WWYD until you are willing to be humbled and corrected for that which you do that He would not do. This is where your faith in His blood really comes to the test – not to do somethiing deliberately wrong, but to trust that if you do, He will and can cleanse and restore, provided you are willing to recognize your error.

God gives His grace to the humble. Be willing to be made humble, and you will know what it is that He will do soon enough.
