The Promised Land – Will You Enter?

Yahweh has prepared a “Land of Promise” for His people. Will you be there? Let’s find out.

Many years ago Yahweh brought His people out from Bondage in Egypt. The Scriptures tell us that Israel is our example, both in being Brought out, and in entering in. Let’s look at this process, and notice all the clues that apply to us.

Yahweh has brought His people out of Bondage, in two distinct steps:

1. He Has “Redeemed” His People by the Blood of the Lamb:

“Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.” (Hebrews 11:28)

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:” (1Peter 1:18-19)

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” (Colossians 1:13-14)

2. He Has “Rescued” His People by Baptism in the Cloud, and in the Sea:

“Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;” (1Corinthians 10:1-2)

“By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.” (Hebrews 11:29)

“Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.” (Exodus 15:1)

“The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:” (1Peter 3:21)

This is for our example today. We “come out” only by the Blood of the Lamb, and by passing through the waters of Baptism. What we see in the Israelites, is an example for us.

But why did Yahweh bring His People “Out?” Here is what Scripture reveals, as to why Yahweh brought them “Out” from Bondage of Egypt:

“And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.” (Deuteronomy 6:23)

Yahweh brought His People “Out,” so that He might bring them “In.” He has promised to give His People an Inheritance called the “Promised land”:

“By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:” (Hebrews 11:8-9)

“And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness: And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;” (Psalms 105:43-44)

Here is Yahweh’s stated purpose for giving His People their Inheritance:

“That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.” (Psalms 105:45)

Yahweh brought His People out of Egypt by the Blood of the Lamb, and He Baptized them in the Cloud, and in the Sea. This is the purpose of the many “Bring-Out” ministries of today.

But there is one problem. Despite being Blood-bought, and water-Baptized, most of that generation were NOT allowed in to receive their inheritance, except for two men. Instead they died in the Wilderness. We are told this is all for our example and warning, so let’s notice why this happened:

“For the LORD had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.” (Numbers 26:65)

“…they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of disobedience:” (Hebrews 4:6)

“…what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh….” (Romans 8:3a)

“…without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:5)

So Here is Yahweh’s Solution for us, that we might be prepared to enter in:

“…God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh…” (Romans 8:3b)

“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” (Jeremiah 31:31-33)

“And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.” (Ezekiel 36:27)

“…the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.” (2Corinthians 3:6)

“That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:4)

We are warned in chapters 3 and 4 of the Book of Hebrews that there will be many who refuse to enter in, just like the Israelites of old, who fell in the wilderness:

“But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?” (Hebrews 3:17)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

Like the Israelites of old, many today have “come out” by the Blood of the Lamb. We have wandered in the “Wilderness” for forty jubilees. Now it is almost time to enter. But most of us are not ready. Why is this? Here are some Details of why they fell in the wilderness, for our warning:

“Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me:
1. they walked not in my statutes,
2. neither kept my judgments to do them, (which if a man do, he shall even live in them);
3. they polluted my sabbaths:
4. then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.” (Ezekiel 20:21)

And More Details:

“I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries; Because:
1. they had not executed my judgments, but had. . .
2. despised my statutes, and had . . .
3. polluted my sabbaths, and . . .
4. their eyes were after their fathers’ idols. (Ezekiel 20:23-24)

Most of Yahweh’s people fell in the Wilderness in that day, and only “Two” men of that generation- Joshua and Caleb- were allowed to enter in. Likewise in OUR day, only “Two” will enter in. Only “Joshua and Caleb” (“Christ-in-You”) will be allowed in.

We that hope to “enter in” must see to it that we “allow” Yahshua-in-us to be present with us, when the time comes to “enter in.” We must stop preventing Him from obeying His OWN Commandments, as He lives in us:

“Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me: except Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite, and Joshua the son of Nun: for they have wholly followed the LORD. And the LORD’S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.” (Numbers 32:11-13)

“…the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:” (Colossians 1:27-28)

Warnings for New Testament Saints who hope to enter in:

“Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of disobedience.” (Hebrews 4:11)

“…the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” (Romans 8:7)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

“…Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” (John 5:14)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

“…And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” (John 8:11)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

“Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.” (John 8:34)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” (Romans 6:1-2)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.” (1John 2:1a)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

“…his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” (Romans 6:16)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.” (Romans 6:12)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

“When the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them;” (2Chronicles 6:26)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

“And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;” (Genesis 18:20)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

“Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.” (Psalms 119:53)

“Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.” (Psalms 119:136)

What is Yahweh’s Solution to Sin?

“And they went out, and preached that men should repent.” (Mark 6:12)

“…except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3b)

We should Repent. Only then, as Blood-Bought-and-justified, and Water-Baptized, can we allow “Christ-in-you” to walk together with us, in obedience. In this way He thus prepares us to “enter in.”

What is Repentance? It is a Gift. If we desire to Repent, we must “Turn” to Yahweh, by “Doing” His Word; and we must “Turn away from” and “stop doing” what the “Theology God” has told us. For Yahweh has said:

“And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:47)

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (Acts 2:38)

Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.” (Proverbs 1:23)

“In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;” (2Timothy 2:25)

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2Peter 3:9)

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5)

The Result of Repentance is “Biblical” Grace:

“By whom we have received gracefor obedience…” (Romans 1:5a)

“And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.” (Ezekiel 36:27)

“…and I will remember their sin no more.” (Jeremiah 31:34)

So we see there is no strength, no power in the Law, but only in Biblical Grace – the ability given by the Spirit of Christ-in-you, moment-by-moment – to walk in His Commandments. The Choice is up to each of us. Do we believe the Word of Yahweh, or the cleverly-laid snares of the Theologists?

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work “iniquity” — [Greek “anomia” = violation of the Law]” (Matthew 7:21-23)

“But woe unto you, … hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither allow them that are entering to go in.” (Matthew 23:13)

The End Result of those that Follow the God of Theology:

“Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 5:24)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins…He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?” (Hebrews 10:26-29)

“…sin is the transgression of the law.” (1John 3:4)

Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.” (Isaiah 3:11)

“…the wicked that forsake thy law.” (Psalms 119:53)

“As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)

“He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” (1John 2:4)

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)

For Pastors, the first step of “Repentance” may be to confess, “I was wrong,”to Yahweh, and to your Congregation.  You have been faithful in “Bringing them out” by the Blood and Water. However, because of the “Theology” you have learned, you have not helped them to prepare to “enter in” (Mat 23:13).

The only way any of us will enter in, by His Grace, through our Faith, is to begin to walk in Yahweh’s Torah — His statutes, judgments, and precepts — and cease polluting His Sabbaths (Eze 20).

When we repent, Yahweh gives us abundant forgiveness! (1John 1:9).
