Another major difference between the Wise and Foolish virgins can be seen in the Proverbs:
The law (‘Torah’) of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. (Proverbs 13:14)From this verse, we see the Wise virgins allow Messiah-in-them to obey the Law of Yahuweh (the ‘Torah’); the Foolish virgins, however, continue to believe the popular Doctrines of Men being taught about the New Testament writings, and do not study the Scriptures for themselves.
And so the Foolish continue to prevent Messiah-in-them from obeying the Law — from keeping “MY commandments” — the very same Commandments Yahushua gave to Moses.
It is in this way that the Foolish virgins show that they do not love the Bridegroom, who said:
If ye love me, keep MY commandments. (John 14:15)So the question remains: Why does the Proverb call the Torah “the law of the wise?”
A thought for today.
