Beloved Saints, for those that sense the imminent taking of the Bride, there is one last opportunity to be among the Wise.
Notice the following verse:
If the LORD delight<02654> in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. (Numbers 14:8 )
The word ‘delight’ used above is the Hebrew word ‘chaphets,’ Strongs number <02654>, meaning “delight in, take pleasure in, be pleased with, to desire.” It is the same word used in Song 2:7, 3:5, and 8:4, where the Daughters are called to refrain from awakening love until ‘delight’ occurs:
I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till [he] please <02654>. (Song of Songs 2:7)
The three mentioned passages are identical, and they reveal an appeal for an awakening of Delight among the Bride Candidates, prior to an awakening of Love can occur, both in ourselves, and in those to whom we speak.
What does it mean to ‘Delight’ in Father? It is simply to seek out, and find, and begin to be a “DO-er” of those things in Scripture that Father delights in, and thereby make them OUR Delight. For further insight, you may want to see Job 22:2,23,26 and other delight passages.
With that in mind, let’s notice a few passages using the word <02654>:
For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please<02654> me, and take hold of my covenant; 5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. 6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. (Isaiah 56:4-7)
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. 2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight<02654> to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight<02654> in approaching to God. (Isaiah 58:1-2)
Again, even the above passages in Isaiah 56 are ONLY for those who desire to find what Father delights in.
The Isaiah 58 passages above are more revealing. These two passages refer to those who delighted in knowing, and approaching Yahweh– as if they were a nation producing the Fruit of righteousness, and as if they were a nation that had not forsaken the ordinance of Yahweh.
Instead, we see they delighted in the ordinance of ‘Righteousness’ as they saw it. They did not delight in Righteousness as Yahweh’s Word reveals it– in the very same verse– the Righteousness of Not forsaking His Ordinances!
King Saul is highly prophetic in many ways of the entire Body of Messiah in its 2,000 year history. Notice the following verse:
Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with other delights<05730>, who put on ornaments of gold upon your apparel. (2 Samuel 1:24)
The above passage is somewhat of a prophetic eulogy that will be fulfilled very soon. Let us pray that we are not among those who weep. Here is why.
In our upbringing as Believing ones– as the ‘Daughters of Israel,’ we have all been clothed with Bridal garments and ornaments, and have learned, and received, delights from our leaders in the ‘Saul’ Body of Messiah.
These garments, ornaments and delights, all have Bride features, as well as features of Covenant and Resurrection, as we see in the number patterns in the words within the above verse. However, these delights we have received from ‘Saul’ are something other than Yahweh’s Delights.
Lest there be any ambiguity, the Apostle Paul uses the corresponding Greek word for Delight, Strong’s number <4913>, which appears only once, in the following passage:
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: (Romans 7:22)
Paul knew that the only way to delight in Father, and to enter the Land, is to allow “Messiah-in-you” to live within him, and to write His Law (“Torah”) inwardly on the heart. Paul was simply expressing the heart of the Psalmist, who revealed exactly what the Father’s will is:
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. (Psalms 40:8 )
Paul, and indeed all the NT writers, focus all their teaching of various aspects of this one subject– of allowing “Messiah-in-us” to keep the Law, the ordinances, and indeed all the Torah that He desires to keep, by His Grace, while He lives within us, day by day. The Father’s will is His delight — that we keep His Torah!
We have one remaining High Sabbath of this current Feast season, the Last Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, on April 28, 2008, beginning at sundown the previous evening.
Those of Yahweh’s people who desire to find His Delight are diligent to keep Father’s Feasts of Passover, and of Unleavened Bread. There is also opportunity to grow in our Delight of Him, as we observe the weekly Sabbaths of Yahweh. As we watch and pray, let us remember that one major definition of the Hebrew word ‘watch’ includes keeping, and celebrating, all the sabbaths of Yahweh.
Beloved, let us take every opportunity to learn of Him!
We have reported the recent discovery of the Virgins’ oil in Scripture:
http://notesfromthewilderness.wordpress.com/2008/04/09/discovered-in-scripture-oil-of-the-wise-virgins/
We found that oil for anointing is different from oil for the lights, as revealed in Ex 25:6, Ex 35:8, and Ex 35:28. We concluded the oil was not the Holy Spirit’s anointing, but then found that Scripture tells us what it is.
For some, these things may be hard to understand, but we must keep in mind that every concept that is new to us, even from Scripture, may collide with our current understanding. Much prayer and reading of the Scriptures are required. In that light, it may be helpful to look at what Scripture says about New Covenant Salvation:

For those who yearn to delight in Him, let us seek Him, and seek the Scriptures– for understanding– and for the wisdom to be a “DO-er” of His Word.
